Oil and Gas IT Specialist Pragma Secures New Contract with North Sea Operator

Aberdeen-based information services specialist Pragma, part of the Amor Group, has won a renewed two-year multi-million pound contract with a North Sea operator, with options to extend for a further two years.

Valued at around £2.4million in total, this deal is an extension of an existing five-year contract for the supply of a wide range of IT management and support services.

The North Sea contract sees a core team of specialists, overseen by an account manager, working on and offshore to provide a full range of IT operational services.

Dave Bruce, Business Unit Director at Pragma, said: “This is an extension of an existing contract, which underlines our position as the information services provider of choice. We work hard to maintain good relationships with our customers at all levels, with a flexible approach to service management.

“This win is a great indication of the relationships we build and maintain with our clients, demonstrating their confidence in our ability to meet their individual business needs.”

Pragma and Real Time are owned by the newly created Amor Group following a recent management buyout from the Sword Group.

Pragma has a global customer base, the majority of which are oil and gas industry operators and contractors. It provides IT operational support and disaster recovery services for infrastructure and oil and gas specialist software applications.

The £28million MBO deal, the largest in Scotland this year, saw the Amor Group become the largest independent IT company in Scotland after acquiring Sword Group’s Scottish IT services businesses.

With £32million forecast revenues and 330 staff based in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, London and Houston, the group has fast-track expansion plans to increase turnover by a further £50million in three years.
